'Tampered milk' in Suffolk primary school spotted by vigilant staff

Police say an 'isolated incident' where a cleaning product was added to two opened bottles of milk at a primary school in Suffolk was spotted by vigilant staff.

The milk had been left at Lakenheath Community Primary School over the weekend when police say it was tampered with some time between Friday 6th October and Monday 9th October.

Police say the bottles had been filled with a cleaning product. No further incidents have been reported to the school or to others in the area and that it is being treated as an isolated incident.

The school has swiftly introduced additional security measures including adding locks to classroom fridges, and disposing of all unused and non-sealed produce daily.

The school is supporting police with the investigation and officers are keeping an open mind as to the motive as they continue enquiries.
