Pedestrian suffers head injury following hit and run

A pedestrian has suffered a head injury following a hit and run in Hertford.

The 21-year-old man collided with a car just after 12.30am this morning (22 October) on Fore Street.

The vehicle, which was possibly a black Vauxhall Astra, then drove off without stopping.

The victim suffered a head injury and was taken to the Lister Hospital for further treatment.

Detective Sergeant Angela Griffiths said: “There were a large number of people in the area enjoying Hertford’s nightlife. I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened to get in touch with police.”
