Woman with 'life-threatening' injuries after being hit by milk van

A 43-year-old woman has 'life-threatening' injuries after being hit by a milk delivery van in Henderson Close, Haverhill in Suffolk.

A woman has a "potentially life-threatening" head injury after being hit by a milk van in Haverhill, Suffolk.

Police were called to Henderson Close in the town at just before 3.30am on Saturday following reports of a pedestrian being struck by the Ford Transit.

Suffolk Police said the 43-year-old woman was been taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. The driver of the milk van was uninjured.

The road has been closed while investigations are carried out and anyone with information is asked to call 101.
