Ambulances have been pictured queueing to deliver patients to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn.

The Norfolk hospital has urged people to avoid A&E if possible after large numbers of patients, along with staff sickness, led to "extraordinary pressure". It's declared a critical incident.

The queueing ambulances were photographed on Monday afternoon.

“While the situation has been challenging and we have had beds available, I would like to praise all of our frontline staff for the dedication and hard work to care for our acutely unwell patients.
