Police are investigating after a man in his 20s was stabbed in Clacton.
It happened around 10.45pm last night (23 February) when the victim was walking near the railway station.
It's believed he was approached by a man dressed in a dark coloured jacket with the hood up, who then stabbed him in the abdomen before leaving the scene.
The victim’s injuries are not life threatening.
DI Gary Biddle, from Clacton CID, said: “The motivation behind this attack is unclear, and we would appeal for anyone who can help our enquiries to get in touch.
“This is clearly a worrying incident, however, no other similar reports have been made to police, and a thorough investigation is underway.”
