Country lane confrontation over fly-tipping captured on camera

Duncan Tomblin confronts two men he suspects were fly-tipping while a colleague films it on a mobile phone.

A country lane confrontation over fly-tipping in Bedfordshire has been captured on video on a mobile phone.

A group of tree surgeons were on their way home from work when they saw two men in a van close to a huge pile of dumped rubbish on the Dunstable Downs.

They approached the men who they suspected were fly-tipping and called the police. Callum Chase and Duncan Tomblin suspected the men were dumping furniture.

The incident is now under investigation by Central Bedfordshire Council's legal team which will conduct interviews and gather evidence ahead of any potential prosecutions.
