Survey reveals the extent of doggy devotion

Almost half of the dog owners in this region allow their pet to sleep in their bed - that's according to a new survey.

Half also admit giving their pooches their own spot on the sofa and a quarter have turned down nights with friends because they can't bear to leave their pet home alone.

And over half of doggy-devotees in East Anglia say hello to their dog first after getting home at the end of the day, before their partner

Nearly 15 per cent of pet owners even admit to taking their dog to the groomers more often than they go to the hairdressers themselves, while four in 10 say their pet has a healthier diet than them.
