Travel: A47 shut in both directions at Guyhirn

The A47 at Guyhirn in Cambridgeshire is shut in both directions after an accident between a lorry and a van in the early hours of this morning, (25th September).

Police say the road is likely to remain closed through the rush hour.

It is shut between A141 March Road ( Ring's End) and the B198 Cromwell Road (Wisbech) while investigation work takes place.

The diversion route is around 50 miles via the following roads:

  • Eastbound - via A141 South to Chatteris, A142 east to Ely, A10 North to King's Lynn.
  • Westbound - via A1101 South to Outwell, A1122 South to Denver, A10 south to Ely, A142 west to Chatteris and A141 North to Ring's End.
