Man charged after police van was stolen in Lowestoft

A man from Lowestoft has been charged with seven offences following an incident where a police van was stolen in the town.

The marked van was taken from Lowestoft police station on Saturday 10th November in the evening.

Police were called to reports that the van was being driven erratically in Lowestoft, Pakefield, Kessingland and Halesworth.

It was found abandoned in Bungay the following morning (Sunday 11th November).

27-year old Sean Warman from Park Road in Lowestoft has been charged with the following offences:

  • Aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving.
  • Blackmail.
  • Robbery.
  • Driving whilst disqualified.
  • Driving without insurance.
  • Two counts of impersonating a police constable.
