Eleanor Cross focus of conservation project
Conservation work on Northampton's Eleanor Cross is due to start this month.
The monument was added to Historic England's 'Building's at Risk' register last year and dates back to the 13th Century.
It was commissioned by Edward I between 1291 and 1294 and marks the nightly resting place of his wife Queen Eleanor on her funeral procession to London.
Only three of the original 12 monuments remain.
