Five charged in connection with Ipswich stabbing

Five people have been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing in Ipswich.

Officers were called to Turin Street on Sunday 16 December to reports that a man had been stabbed. 32 year old Daniel Saunders died at the scene from a single stab wound to the abdomen.

A 17-year-old boy from Bury St Edmunds – who cannot be named for legal reasons - has been charged with murder. He's been remanded in custody.

Five others appeared at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court today, Monday 8 April, where they were formally charged with assisting an offender. They're as follows:

  • Arjun Jadeja, aged 18, of Wivenhoe, near Colchester
  • Benjamin Gosbell, aged 20, of Highwoods, Colchester
  • Olusola Durojaiye, aged 33, of Colchester
  • A 16-year-old boy from Bury St Edmunds and a 17-year-old boy from Colchester (who cannot be named for legal reasons)

All five were bailed to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday 12 April.
