Police say a fire in the car park of Southend United's stadium was started deliberately.

Firefighters were called to Roots Hall around 5.55pm on Tuesday 30 April.

A fire had started in a corner of the club's car park at Victoria Avenue, damaging a large amount of artificial turf.

Police say the cost of the damage caused could be a six-figure sum.

Officers want to hear from anyone with information.
