At least 45 lambs and sheep have been illegally slaughtered on farms in Northamptonshire, leaving body parts in the fields.
A farm in Whilton near Daventry was among those targeted last week.
Police believe it's the work of an organised gang who know how to butcher the animals to steal the meat.

Farmer Gordon Emery said he wasn't prepared for the shocking scene that he and his family discovered last week after thieves butchered dozens of his lambs to steal their meat and left carcasses and body parts strewn across one of his fields.
