Car stranded after driver mistakes river for road on sat nav

People had to be rescued from a stranded car in Hertfordshire after mistaking a river for a road on their sat nav.

Police said "someone got confused with the car sat nav" leading to the incident at Barwick Ford last night.

The fire service said they had reports that a car had got stuck in "fast flowing water".

Three crews and a "water incident team" attended and rescued the people in the car.
