Around 2,000 people have taken to the streets of Kendal to fight for cancer facilities to be restored in South Cumbria.
Local people are demanding a new radiotherapy unit at the Westmorland General Hospital.
It's the latest demonstration to demand a return of services after the Westmorland General was downgraded.
Cancer patients have to travel outside the area to get radiotherapy treatment at the moment.
Some say they have to travel hundreds of miles a week.
Around 11 thousand signatures have been collected and were handed over by MP Tim Farron to Professor John Ashton from NHS Cumbria.
Mr Farron said: "If you've experienced the travel to Preston you know it's an awful long way away and it can wear you down, it can make you worse and its about saving lives having a radiotherapy unit here in Kendal not just about convenience so that's why it's caught people's imagination and it will continue to do so until we win.
Local health commissioners will now consider the bid for the 12 milliion pounds radiotherapy unit in the next few months.
