More than 100 children from primary schools across Nithsdale took part in the Tesco Bank Football Challenge Festival on Thursday 28 May.

Braving the rain, pupils participated in small sided games, passing and shooting drills, and were put through their paces with sprints and shuttle runs throughout the morning

The tournament followed six weeks of coaching sessions and was organised by Dumfries and Galloway Council in partnership with the Scottish FA and Tesco Bank.
