Family and friends of a boy from Longtown, who was killed after being knocked down by a tractor, celebrated his life at his funeral today.

Michael Wolfe, 10, who was better known as Mikey, died at the scene on the A7 through the town.

His family led a procession through the town, past the memorials that have been left at the crossing where he died.

They then attended the funeral service at the Parish Church of St Michael and All Angels.

The Reverend Russell Tague, who led the service said the tragedy had brought the community together, and that Mikey's family want the day to be about remembering him, and the wonderful life he had, rather than mourning.
