Monday 18th January 2016 to you and me. Or it can be called Blue Monday.
Research shows it's the ultimate point at which people feel the post-Christmas strain.
Credit card bills arrive from impulse present purchases over the festive period. The dull and cold weather greets us every morning. We've broken our New Years resolution multiple times. We travel to work in pitch black mornings and travel home in the pitch black evenings. Then sunshine and summer is merely a dream.
But not everyone will be feeling under the weather today. Neil Corrigan of Creative Lakes, Kendal, won't be beaten by Blue Monday and points out that blue is actually a colour to turn our day around.
