Flood alerts for south of Scotland

Flood alerts remain in place for Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders.

The alerts mean there is a possibility of some surface water and river flooding in the region.

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency says drainage systems in built-up areas may struggle to cope with the intensity of the rain, and that travel disruption and flooding to properties is possible.
