Riders cross Tour of Britain finish line in Kendal

Tour of Britain riders including Olympians Sir Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish have crossed the Stage Two finish line in Kendal.

The race began in Carlisle city centre this morning and headed to Kendal via Penrith, Cockermouth, Keswick, Grasmere, Ambleside and Windermere.

Belgium's Adrien Vermote won the stage after breaking away from Great Britain's Stephen Cummings on the final stretch of the climb up Kendal's Beast Banks.

Thousands of spectators lined various points of the 117-mile route to cheer on the field made up of some of the world's best cyclists.
