WATCH: Shocking moment hero confronts would-be robber

This CCTV video shows the shocking moment a shop owner confronted a would-be robber.

Katrina Yule, who runs Kat's Corner Shop in Hawick, in the Scottish Borders, managed to wrestle a golf club and knife from the assailant, Natasha Murray.

Murray, 26, who is also from Hawick, was said to have been under the influence of drugs when she tried to raid the store.

Police found her hiding in a rolled up carpet at her home in Howegate shortly afterwards.

She was jailed for 16 months at Jedburgh Sheriff Court this week, after pleading guilty to those offences, as well as further offences carried out at a Tesco store in Galashiels in September 2016, when she spat on an employee and stole from the store.

Katrina Yule told ITV Border she grabbed the blade itself, during the fight.

I grabbed it blade-side. She did say "that is a knife", but I wasn't bothered. I felt I'd rather be in control of the knife than have her be in control of it.
