Over 90% of applicants given secondary school places in Cumbria
New figures revealed today by Cumbria County Council show that nearly all students who applied for a place in a secondary school in Cumbria were accepted.
93.5% of 4,795 applicants for a September 2017 start were given a place in their first preference school.
Cumbria County Council's Cabinet Member for schools and learning said the result is "great" news:
The council says late applications are still set to be processed by the end of this month.
