Cumbria Police tackle anti-social behaviour in Carlisle city centre

Cumbria police say they are seeing good results from their approach to dealing with anti-social behaviour in Carlisle's city centre.

Operation Mangrove, launched in February is a co-operation of local businesses and partners to deal with reports of young people meetina dn acting in an anti-social manner.

It has led to a number of charges and referrals to youth triage.

Weekly police desks are being held for the public to raise any concerns with their local officers, on:

  • Thursdays between 3pm and 5pm at Carlisle Library

  • Fridays between 5.30pm and 7.30pm at Carlisle Youth Zone
