Cricket hero Ben Stokes returns to Cumbrian hometown

Local cricket hero and England vice captain, Ben Stokes, has returned to Cockermouth to raise money for damage caused by Storm Desmond.

Ben is hosting a PCA masters side at Sandale against Cockermouth Cricket Club team.

The cricket match will raise money to go towards paying for the repairs to the damage caused by Storm Desmond in 2015.

During the storm homes and businesses were destroyed, including Cockermouth Cricket Club, where the pitch was completely submerged.

Our reporter, Ryan Dollard, found out how important it is for Ben to support his local club, especially after the damage caused by Storm Desmond:
