Rabbits are being shot in West Cumbrian cemeteries because they are eating flowers left on graves.
A contractor has been hired by Allerdale council to shoot the rabbits with around 30 killed in Cockermouth Cemetery.
Rabbits have also been shot in Maryport after similar complaints about them eating flowers left by relatives in memory of their loved ones.
But the move has already been criticised by local animal lovers.
Is it right to shoot rabbits to protect flowers in the cemetery? Or should the council look for another solution?
