A tractor worth tens of thousands of pounds has been stolen from a site in Annan.

The Case make tractor excavator was stolen from the KN Training site at the Broom Industrial estate, Newbie.

The incident happened sometime overnight on Wednesday 13 to Thursday 14 September.

The excavator is described as orange in colour, new in April 2017, and valued at around £75,000.

Police Scotland said:

The digger appears to have been driven through the security fence at the site, and then loaded onto some for of transport to be taken away. A low loader type trailer is the likeliest form of transport. I am appealing to anyone who may have been on the road between Annan and Newbie on Wednesday, or early Thursday morning, to get in touch if they saw anything which might help us in this enquiry.

Detective Sergeant Colin McKinstry
