Alleged dog attack kills sheep in Dumfries and Galloway

Police Scotland are appealing for information after two sheep died following an alleged dog attack in Dumfries and Galloway.

One sheep had died from serious injuries, and the other had to be put down by a vet.

The farmer at Nether Albie, Waterbeck, came across the incident on the morning of Friday 29 September 2017.

A commotion was heard with the sheep at around 2.30am.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward:

We are asking the local community to help us trace the dog(s) and the owner.

The cost of the two sheep is in the region of £200.
