Third ATM machine raided in West Cumbria

An ATM machine stolen in Whitehaven is the third to be targeted in West Cumbria since September.

Cumbria Police are investigating the theft which happened overnight before 4:48am, on Tuesday 17 October.

The cash machine was extracted from a building on Preston Street.

Another two incidents have previously taken place in Aspatria and Cockermouth.

Police say they are not linking the incidents, but are following all lines of enquiry.
