Border Weather - Into the new week

Wet and windy weather moves south and eastwards. Briefly milder. Winds then veer northwesterly. Drier and brighter from the north but colder once more. Early afternoon highs of 10°C.


A few isolated light showers over Dumfries and Galloway early evening, but most parts will stay dry, though higher cloud spreading from west towards dawn. Patchy frost and some dense fog potentially around the Solway Firth. Lows -1°C.


Staying mostly dry with the best of the brighter spells East Borders.Feeling cold where stubborn fog does not lift. Highs 6-8°C.

OUTLOOK:Far milder compared to last week. West rather cloudy with some rain at times. East mainly dry and occasionally bright. Patchy fog and frost by night.
