Police in Cumbria are appealing for anyone who may have seen or spoken to a victim of a serious sexual assault in Carlisle.
The woman, in her 30s, was assaulted in the city centre late on Friday 11 May.
It is believed that after the incident the woman stopped a car and the driver gave her a lift to the Carlisle Castle Area.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen or spoken to her between 10pm and 11.45pm.
She is described as being a slim build and wearing skinny jeans with a red top or pink hoody. She has brown hair which was tied back in a plait and has a Merseyside accent.
The incident was reported on Monday 14 May.
