Storm Callum has officially passed, according to the Met Office.

There were numerous flood alerts for the Scottish Borders, Dumfries and Galloway and Cumbria.

Over the weekend the regions suffered heavy rainfall and high winds.

Flood expert Paul Hendy says that the rest of the region had a "very close call", and was lucky to escape further damage.

He says the reason is that flood protection products that people put in place since Storm Desmond in 2015 were not fit-for-purpose.

The GlenRidding Hotel near Ullswater was flooded by Storm Desmond in 2015, and were thankful that their new defences held.
