A66 partially reopened following crash

The A66 has been reopened between Penrith (Kemplay Roundabout) and Brough. Drivers are advised to drive with caution and to the road conditions in front of them. 

In a press release Cumbria Police warned, that the road remains closed between Brough and Bowes. The stretch of road between Brough and Bowes is likely to remain closed overnight as adverse cold weather continues to create dangerous conditions.

There will be congestion around these areas and drivers are asked to allow for delay and to plan their journey accordingly.
