Cannabis farm worth almost £500,000 discovered in Selkirk

A 19-year-old man has been arrested after a large cannabis farm worth almost half a million pounds was recovered from a house in Selkirk.

Police entered the property last night to find the cultivation that has an approximate value of £489,000.

The man will appear at Selkirk Sheriff Court today.

Chief Inspector Stuart Reid, Area Commander for the Borders, said:
