Tributes paid to man who died in A66 crash on Good Friday

The family of a west Cumbrian man who died after a crash on Good Friday have paid tribute to his life.

Keith Moore has been described by his family as a someone you could "never fail to love".

The 42-year-old man died after a collision involving three vehicles on the A66.

In a statement issued by Cumbria Police, his family described how they felt about Keith:

“Keith, who many people knew as Big Bear, partner to Michelle and dad to Jack, Ellie and Danielle, was cheeky and funny and someone who liked to play jokes on people.

“He was really loveable and you could never fail to love him.

“He always put everyone before himself and was a real role model to others.

“He liked fishing and hunting and loved the outdoors.

“He also loved his job and loved being with the lads.”

The crash happened on Friday 19 May at 12:50pm. There were three cars directly involved - a Red Citroen C3, a Silver Renault Clio, a Green A Class Mercedes.

An 18-year-old man was flown to Preston Royal Infirmary and a 56-year-old woman, was flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary following the crash. A Cumbria Constabulary spokesperson said both sustained "serious injuries."

A 9-year-old child was taken by land ambulance to Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.

There has been no update on their condition.
