Organisers of a festival which champions diversity say there's more need than ever, for events to unite communities.

The fourth annual Carlisle Unity Festival took place over the weekend.

Marcia Reid-Fotheringham, High Sheriff of Cumbria, lead a unity walk through the centre of the city and activities were held across the day.

Carlisle Unity Festival is a collaboration between AWAZ Cumbria, Carlisle One World Centre, Op Shops, and Bespoke Minds.
