At 2am on Sunday 27th October, the clocks will go back an hour to Greenwich Mean Time.

The change means an extra hour in bed on Sunday morning, lighter starts for early commuters, but the sun will now set in the Border region at around 4.46pm on Sunday evening.

And, just like clockwork, the weather changes! Expect drier, clearer days yet colder, frosty nights. A settled spell ahead, staying with us until midweek.
