Thousands gather across Cumbria and Southern Scotland to honour the fallen Remembrance Sunday services

Thousands of people across Cumbria and the Scottish Borders have attended services to mark Remembrance Sunday, as the nation paid its respects to the war dead.

In Carlisle and Kirkcudbright, crowds gathered to observe the two minutes silence, lay wreaths and hear the sounding of the last post.
