Two people have been charged with grievous bodily harm after a man was left with a broken jaw and burns in Carlisle.

It happened on 17 November on Spencer Street in the centre of the city.

The injured 33-year-old man was left with serious injuries and remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Leon Hull, 29 of Springkell, Aspatria and David Foster, 31 of Abbey Street, Carlisle, will appear at Carlisle magistrate’s court this morning.

A 17-year-old male from Carlisle, has been released on bail.

Both Hull and Foster have been remanded until the 19th December

Police investigating the incident say they are keen to speak to anyone who may have information about the assault and ask them to contact 101.
