• Dumfries & Galloway - General Election 2019

We’re travelling from coast to coast along the Southern Upland Way, looking at the contests for the three south of Scotland seats in the 2019 General Election.

Our 200-mile journey ends in the west of the region, from which Greg Hoare travels through the constituency of Dumfries and Galloway, questioning each candidate about why voters should choose them.

The four candidates for the constituency are:

  • Richard Arkless, SNP

  • Alister Jack, Scottish Conservatives

  • McNabb Laurie, Scottish Liberal Democrats

  • Ted Thompson, Scottish Labour
