Police are appealing for information after a car in Kendal hit a teenage boy and allegedly drove off when officers approached.

The Grey Vauxhall Grandland left the Aynam Road area before heading towards Barrow at around 1am on the morning of 13 January.

They remain in police custody.

The teenage boy involved in the incident was unhurt.
