The body of a woman has been found in the Kelso area of the Scottish Borders yesterday afternoon.
Police Scotland says formal identification has yet to take place but the family of Melita Hachey, 30, who was reported missing from Galashiels in February, has been informed.
Police Scotland can confirm that around 5.30pm on Monday, 2 March, 2020, the body of a woman was found in the Kelso area.
At the time her family said "last week has been a living nightmare."
She was last seen wearing a dark coloured parka style jacket with a fur trimmed hood, blue jeans and white trainers.
