Five more people have died from coronavirus in Cumbria, it has been confirmed.

The patients were being treated at the Furness General Hospital and the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

Three men aged 94, 84 and 56, and two women, aged 82 and 58, died at the Furness General Hospital.

The Chief Executive for University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust said they all died over the past few days and had underlying health conditions. No further details have been released.
