Honister Pass in the Lake District has broken the UK record for June rainfall.

Figures from the Environment Agency show over 210mm of rainfall was recorded in just 24 hours (from 10am on Sunday 28th).

This beats the previous record set on the 22nd of June in 2012 - also at Honister Pass.

Weather warnings were in place over the weekend for rainfall as the unsettled weather looks set to continue through to the end of the month.
