A woman in her 90s has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Cockermouth.
Police responded to calls at 2:06pm on Tuesday following reports of a collision on Crown street involving a Ford C-Max and a pedestrian. The road remains closed for further investigation.
A woman in her 90s is being treated for injuries at the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. A woman in her 70s - who was driving the car - was uninjured.
