Several tonnes of rubbish is expected to be pulled out of Windermere by the time the first mass 'debris dive' is completed on Saturday night. This is John Bevir's full report.
Ocean rubbish issue highlighted
Today's 'debris dive' in Windermere was organised by TV presenter and explorer Paul Rose. As well as the obvious benefits to the local area, Paul wanted to use the dive to highlight the wider problem of rubbish being dumped in the oceans.
