Valais Blacknose Sheep

Kim Inglis went to meet the breeder of the rare Valais Blacknose sheep lambing in Dumfries and Galloway.

With lambing in full swing across the region, a new breed of sheep is causing quite a stir in Dumfries.

The Valais Blacknosed sheep pictured are a handful of the two hundred imported into the country from Switzerland in the past twelve months.

Sheep breeder Emily Duncan says she wasn't sure what animal they were when she first encountered them, but that it didn't stop her falling for them..
