WATCH: Hate Crime Awareness Week in Cumbria

The number of hate crimes reported in Cumbria is on the increase, and a local charity is urging more victims to come forward.

Between October 2013 and September 2014, 306 hate crimes were reported across the county.

From October 2014 to September this year, 384 were reported.

That's an increase of more than twenty five percent. But the police say many more victims don't report abuse.

Carlisle MENCAP, which supports people with learning disabilities, has produced a film to tell people how to report incidents.

Greg Hoare has this report.
