D&G councillor 'delighted' with exam results

Councillor Jeff Leaver, chairman of the Children, Young People and Lifelong Learning Committee, said:

Providing the best start in life for all our children is a priority for our Council. I'm delighted with the excellent overall performance in terms of exam results in our region. This is due to hard work on behalf of pupils and staff and the vital support of parents and guardians.

It is important to remember, however, that some may not quite have got the results they hoped for. For pupils in this situation there is support in place, with staff available with help to explore available options.

This is a massive day for every pupil in Scotland, waiting for their results.

All of our postmen and women, many of whom have children themselves, understand just how important this day is for families.
