Cockermouth cricket star Ben Stokes is to host a PCA Masters day at Cockermouth Cricket Club.

Stokes wanted to repay the club for his early years and to leave a legacy for the next generation of local cricket stars.

The PCA Masters day, being held on Thursday 10th August, will see some of the country's top ex-international cricketers take on the Cockermouth team.

There will also be junior competitions held throughout the day and a special question and answer session with Stokes.

The club was badly flooded in both 2009 and 2015 and say the day will help to mark the long recovery.

Both corporate and general tickets sales will begin on 1st June.
