A man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Dalton-in-Furness.
42-year-old Timothy Davis Nickson was arrested after an attack involving an axe on Thursday 22 June.
Emergency services were called to Broughton Road at around 8.00pm.
A 46-year-old man who was arrested in connection has been released while the investigation continues.
Cumbria Police are investigating a serious sexual offence in Dalton-on-Furness in the early hours of Friday 6th February.
They're asking anyone who was in either the Golden Ball pub or the Horse and Jockey pub the evening before (Thursday 5th February) to contact them.
They're also asking anyone that was in Tudor square that saw either a lone man or a man and woman walk in the direction of George Romney School to get in touch by calling 101 or Crimestoppers Anonymous on 0800555111.
About £3000 has been stolen form Dalton-in-Furness Cricket Club.
It's thought the money was stolen at about 6am yesterday, Thursday 10 July. Two gaming machines were also damaged in the incident.
Police then found three cash buckets after they were alerted to the incident.
It follows a similar incident in Barrow that saw a cash bucket from a gaming machine stolen from Holker Old Boys Club on Rakesmoor Lane, Barrow-in-Furness on Tuesday, 8 July.
Those responsible forced their way into the bar area which set off an alarm.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cumbria Police on 101 and ask to speak to an officer from Barrow CID.
A member of staff has been seriously injured by a tiger at South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Dalton in Furness. The 24-year-old woman was mauled by the animal in its enclosure. She was taken by ambulance to Preston Royal Infirmary.
The tiger has not escaped and the park said there's no risk to the public. It has closed early and all visitors have left the park. Police and Barrow Borough Council are investigating.
